Wade Joshua Britz - The Prayer

"Father God, please help me. Thank you for this opportunity. Guide me Lord. Lord, please let me be head boy. If someone else wins, I will be happy for them, in Jesus name. Amen"

That was the prayer through a twelve year old boy. Our son, Wade Joshua Britz. It is important to remind our children to always pray. We have to teach them that prayer is a lifestyle. A short prayer and believing that God can make the impossible, possible and staying humble in the process.

Wade had to read his speech to become head boy to 32 education and they had to vote between him and 4 other boys.

He said he was so nervous and that is when he had to pray.

Once again I realize how important it is to have childlike faith. A faith that brings forth simple prayers and believing it will come to true.

I am an ordinary mom, so encouraged this morning.

Wade Joshua Britz was chosen as HEAD BOY 2015 and his words "Mom, I was so nervous to read it to 32 teachers, and tomorrow I have to read the winning speech to 1200 learners." #AWESOME All Glory to God.

Who Is Important?

“Jesus must become more important, while I become less important.”

John 3:30

Please don’t get confused when reading this verse. I know some of you will think that you not important. That is absolutely not the case. Don’t degrade yourself or see yourself as inferior to any other person.

What God is saying is, when you see others higher or esteem others higher than yourself especially God, that is when He will cause you to have favour wherever you may go. God wants us to acknowledge Him as Greater than ourselves. The MOST Important person and He will change things on our behalf.

Prayer Is A Lifestyle - Christine Caine

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6).

I believe there is a direct correlation between trusting God and prayer. Prayer is our way to communicate with the Father, our opportunity to bring our gratitude, needs and concerns before Him.

Sometimes we think we don't have enough time to pray because we have a zillion other things to do and no extra slot in our schedule.

I was not able to find peace in my heart about my prayer life until I discovered this one thing: Prayer has no formal location or time-slot requirement! Simply put, prayer is a way of life. When we pray, we are trusting God with our needs and future rather than depending on ourselves.

In essence, unceasing prayer means continual dependence upon and constant communication with our Father, and with this comes the supernatural peace that only God can give.

As Long As You START

This is for me a wife and mother. I am so encouraged. I started walking and exercising. It's more than a month now and I really feel good physically. I trust God to help not to stop doing something for ME.
Read the below and I trust you will be encouraged.

Have you ever experienced the pull of inertia? It's that feeling of not having the desire or energy to move toward a goal. Maybe you planned to go for a brisk morning walk, but couldn't pull yourself from the warm comfort of your bed—or you'd like to talk to your boss about new opportunities at work, but keep making excuses that delay the conversation.

At some point inertia affects almost everyone, but it doesn't have to keep you from pursuing your dreams. The power to combat inertia is in your hands!

In his first law of motion, Isaac Newton reminds us, "An object that is at rest will stay at rest

unless an external force acts upon it."

Today's Empowerment Moment provides four keys to help you start moving in the direction of your goals:

1. Make sure you're sufficiently motivated. Life transformation requires more than wishful thinking, it requires a tireless dedication to your task. When you serve a mission that is greater than you are, excitement will pull you forward with an irresistible energy.2. Don't wait for conditions to be perfect. If you're waiting for the "perfect" moment, you may never get started. I like how author Tim Ferris approaches a challenge: "Conditions are never perfect," he says. "'Someday' is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you. If it's important to you and you want to do it 'eventually,' just do it and correct the course along the way."3. Start small. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! Don't worry about what will happen in a month or in a year. Simply focus on the next 24 hours and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be.4. Move forward in faith. Leave room for God to work! Have the courage to act, even if you don't have all the answers or resources right now. If you want to see His hand, look to God to do what only He can do.
Which of these four principles is most challenging for you? How will you begin taking small, intentional steps toward your dream?

Praying God will reward your courage in exciting ways,

"Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling...but start. Start and don't stop. Start where you are, with what you have...just start."

God's Love Means More than Life

As a mother and wife, we need to stay close to God. We have to want to feel His presence daily. We have so much on our plate at times and it's not because we choose to take it on, we sometimes don't have a choice as wife and mother.

I am so in awe of King David. He was so honest with his prayer life. He told God exactly how he feels daily.
I draw strength from his prayer or shall I say, his conversations with God.
I am reading this Psalm and I felt so safe and assured that God is with me.
Psalm 63:1-8
"You are my God. I worship you.
In my heart, I long for you,
as I would long for a stream
    in a scorching desert.
2 I have seen your power
and your glory
    in the place of worship.
3 Your love means more
than life to me,
    and I praise you.
4 As long as I live,
    I will pray to you.
5 I will sing joyful praises
and be filled with excitement
like a guest at a banquet.
6 I think about you
    before I go to sleep,
and my thoughts turn to you
    during the night.
7 You have helped me,
    and I sing happy songs
in the shadow of your wings.
8 I stay close to you,
    and your powerful arm
    supports me...."

It Is So!

It's been a while since my last post and I am excited to share.
So much has happened and through it all, I am so sure something super awesome is about to happen.
I'm sitting here thinking that I don't want to be regret my decisions. As a wife and mother, I realized my life is not my own. Yes it belongs to God, but having a family, I have to constantly think of them. My plate is always full. I'm constantly tired, but never get enough rest...and where does my help come from. It comes from God. I depend on Him for every bit of strength I need. Even today I felt so tired of everything going on, I felt like giving up. But as I realized what I'm about to do, 2015 flashed before me and I just felt the excited rising within me.
If God could carry me through 2014, why not 2015. He can, but it all depends on me. I have been given the key. I have allowed so much and God had to allow it. If I disallowed the hurt, pain, tears and confusion, God would have disallowed it as well. I am so aware of my surroundings right now and I definitely know better, and I will do better. It will be to please my God and not people. I will boldly say, that NOTHING will separate me from the love of God.
2015, I speak to you in the name of Jesus. God is my everything. He is my Jehovah Jireh.
